The Gem Lab, I.C.G.A. is one of 12 Independent AGS Accredited Gemological Labs in existence. Our fully equipped gem lab can determine the identity and quality of your diamonds, colored gemstones, pearls, watches and other jewelry. If needed, advanced testing will be recommended. Our portable gem lab allows us to bring our services to you if desired.

Flexible Appointment Times.
Appointments are made for your convenience. You’re not locked into “office hours only”. If you choose to walk in, it’s a good idea to call first since Mark often works away from the office. Usual office hours are
Mon –Fri, 10 am – 6 pm. Before or after hours, Saturdays or Sundays are by appointment.

Mark is a Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America with more than 20 years experience in the science of gemology. His appraisal credentials were earned by examination with re-certification required at regular intervals. He has been appraising since 1983, and abides by the highest ethical code of conduct in the appraisal industry. Professional designations include Graduate Gemologist (GIA), Certified Gemologist Appraiser (AGS), Accredited Member, International Society of Appraisers, Advanced Personal Property Appraiser (JEF) and Member, National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
